Heroes and Villains:
Napoleon
Young Napoleon Bonaparte's story was made by BBC in its traditional manner of educational movies - fine costumes, real mud, good actors. This is Anthony Higgins' second film about Napoleon.
As General Jacques Christophe Dugommier, Anthony Higgins acts in two scenes - both are well-turned. Higgins accomplished in his skills and everything in these three minutes - turns of his head, straight of his back, motions of his hands, heaviness in his eyes - is perfect. Dugommier is an old soldier, storm-beaten but still steadfast. In his last scene, he speaks in a whisper - The General's and Revolutionist's deadly game in this dangerous age.
This is the second time when Anthony was engaged to act in Napoleon's story film. The first one was the TV mini-series "Napoleon and Josephine: A Love Story" in 1987.
P.S. I decided to add a video from YouTube with the whole role. I own nothing! It's just for fans who can't get this TV series and to take a look at Anthony Higigns' work. Enjoy!
