Journey to the Unknown
Season 1, Episode 15
Stranger in the Family
"Journey to Unknown" is a classical Hammer TV series. This episode was made in 1969 and it's Anthony Higgins'... sorry, Anthony Corlan's... second role on the television and this is the leading part.
Plot is excellent as usual in this Hammer's series - the Wilsons have a son, Charles (everybody call him 'Boy'). As father and mother scientists and made experiments with... sorry I can't say were was... but their only son was born a mutant. He has no normal fingers, but he has extraordinary abilities in hypnosis.
Boy is chased by the goverment for every his gush of anger leads to someone's death. Everybody is afraid of him, cause he can't take himself under control. Boy has a sensitive soul now he is 18 and this is the time for the first love. This will lead him to disappointment and to death. This is because, as Anthony's character says, "there's no place for a mutant."
For a twenty year old, Higgins' performance is truthful - a tragedy of the unusual person, questions of a mutual understanding in a family, power of superior mind, scopes of good and evil as human being feels it in the youth, for everything-destroying hunger for love. Anthony Higgins' tears almost made me cry when I saw it for the very first time. All I can say - it's brilliant.
COAT MYSTERY:-) You can see him in his own coat, I believe. He'll appear in the same coat in 'Strange Report' TV episode.
