The Inspector Lynley Mysteries
Season 3, Episode 2
A Traitor to Memory
After three long years of silence, Anthony Higgins appears on TV screens in one of the BBC©s "Inspector Lynley Mysteries," based on novels by Elizabeth George.
The plot of "A Traitor to Memory" is very simple and predictable: a jealous child murdered his baby sister and his relatives covered up everything to save him. Now, there have been two more murders that seem to be linked to the past.
Anthony Higgins© James Pitchley is a millionaire with a dark past, who, many years ago, knew this family and he is a prime suspect. He eliminates himself from the list of suspects by giving the detectives an equal amount of truth and lies.
Higgins has three scenes: his home, the police station and his office. His gestures are funny, such as scratching himself or waving his hands, but it©s a serious part so don©t laugh.
I can©t praise the director or director of photography, who decided to shoot Mr. Higgins near a window, opposite natural lighting, in office scene, and under a dull, yellow light in his home scene. It washed out his features as if in fuzzy shots.
