Clyde Tolson was Associate Director of the FBI from 1930 until 1972, and a close friend and partner of FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover. This is the biggest main role played by Anthony Higgins for cinema, the main role.

In his interview for Little Shop of Horrors magazine Mr. Higgins told about his work with Brian Cox in 'The Curse of Edgar': "We effectively play an old married couple", and it's not only because this is gay theme in the movie, but both actors have known each other nearly 50 years and both played in Birmingham Repertory Theatre performances such as 'Romeo and Juliet' and 'Othello'.

So we have a real wonderful performance in this docudrama and as Mr. Higgins has all narrator's work it's a whole hour and a half of a real pleasure.
